After the massive success of Version 6.0 “Luna,” HoYoverse is once again preparing a major step forward with the release of Genshin Impact Version 6.1 “Luna II.” This latest update is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2025, and has become one of the most anticipated patches among Travelers. It promises a perfect blend of new storylines, exclusive characters, innovative gameplay systems, and a significantly expanded world. With the theme “An Elegy for Faded Moonlight,” this patch continues the epic journey in the Nod-Krai region while introducing the most ambitious creative mode in Genshin Impact’s history.

Release Schedule and Banner Phases

HoYoverse has confirmed that maintenance for Version 6.1 will take place on October 22, 2025, from 07:00 to 12:00 server time (Asia).
Once the update is complete, players will be able to jump right into all the exciting new content. The patch will feature two main banner phases:

• Phase 1 (October 22 – November 11, 2025)
  Will feature the debut of the new character Nefer (Dendro, Catalyst) alongside the rerun of Furina, the Hydro Archon from Fontaine.

• Phase 2 (November 11 – December 2, 2025)
  Will bring back two fan-favorite characters — Arlecchino and Zhongli — to complete this version’s lineup.

New Character: Nefer, the Dendro Alchemist

The highlight of Version 6.1 is undoubtedly Nefer, a new 5★ Catalyst user with the Dendro element.
In the story, Nefer is portrayed as an alchemist from Nod-Krai who can manipulate life energy to strengthen her allies. Her Elemental Skill summons an explosive crystal plant, while her Elemental Burst transforms the battlefield into a healing zone that also boosts Dendro attacks.

Beyond her elegant design, Nefer introduces a new hybrid support-DPS playstyle, making her a strong candidate for the next-generation Dendro meta.

New Feature: Miliastra Wonderland

One of the biggest additions in “Luna II” is Miliastra Wonderland, a User-Generated Content (UGC) mode that allows players to create, share, and explore their own custom worlds.
Within this mode, players can:

• Design arenas or stages using Genshin’s in-game world elements.

• Add enemies, obstacles, and even gameplay logic through a visual scripting system.

• Enjoy various gameplay modes such as PvP, social mini-games, and adventure challenges.

• Use a special customizable character called Manekin (Manekina) with adjustable appearances and attributes.

Miliastra Wonderland is touted as a “permanent creative mode” that expands Genshin Impact’s ecosystem — similar to sandbox experiences like Roblox or Minecraft — but with Genshin’s signature Teyvat aesthetic.
