The biggest annual tournament for the game VALORANT Champions 2023 is set to begin soon. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, United States from August 6 to August 26, 2023. A total of 16 of the best VALORANT teams from around the world will participate in VALORANT Champions 2023, competing for a prize pool of US$2.25 million (approximately IDR 34 billion).

FORMAT – VALORANT CHAMPIONS 2023

As in previous years, VALORANT Champions 2023 will begin with the group stage. The 16 participating teams will be divided into 4 groups, each consisting of 4 teams. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.

The tournament will then continue with the playoff stage, featuring 8 teams. The playoffs will use a double elimination format, with best-of-three matches and best-of-five matches for the lower bracket final and the grand final.

The Brazilian team LOUD will aim to defend their title this season. LOUD previously won VALORANT Champions 2022 by defeating OpTic Gaming in the grand final. However, LOUD is expected to face tough competition from teams such as Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, and Paper Rex.

Although no Indonesian team is participating, there are two Indonesian players competing in VALORANT Champions 2023: mindfreak and f0rsakeN, both of whom play for Paper Rex. Paper Rex is also considered one of the favorites in this tournament after previously winning the VCT 2023 Pacific League.
