The world’s largest annual PUBG Mobile tournament, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 (PMGC 2024), has officially begun. This year’s tournament is being held in two locations, London, England, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 31 to December 8, 2024. A total of 49 top PUBG Mobile teams from around the globe are participating in PMGC 2024 to compete for a prize pool of $3 million, or approximately 47 billion Indonesian rupiah.

PMGC 2024 Schedule and Competition Format

PMGC 2024 kicks off with the league stage, where 48 participating teams are divided into three groups of 16 teams each. Each team will play 24 matches in this stage. The top three teams from each group will advance directly to the Grand Finals. Teams ranked 4th to 11th will compete in the Survival Stage, while teams in positions 12 through 16 will be eliminated from the tournament.

Here is the detailed PMGC 2024 schedule:

• GROUP STAGE: October 31 – November 17, 2024
• SURVIVAL STAGE: November 20 – 22, 2024
• LAST CHANCE: November 23 – 24, 2024
• GRAND FINAL: December 6 – 8, 2024

Following the league stage, the tournament moves on to the Survival Stage. In this round, 24 teams are divided into three groups, and each team will play 18 matches over three days of competition. The top 16 teams will advance to the Last Chance stage, while eight teams will be eliminated. In the Last Chance stage, 16 teams will compete for six remaining slots in the Grand Finals, with the remaining 10 teams eliminated. One Grand Finals slot is reserved for the host team, Guild Esports.

Indonesia is represented by four teams: Alter Ego Ares, RRQ Ryu, Bigetron Knights, and VOIN Donkey ID. These teams include one team with the highest points in Indonesia and three teams that qualified through the PMSL SEA Fall 2024 tournament. Although the Indonesian teams have strong chances, they still face tough competition from PUBG Mobile teams from Thailand, like Vampire Esports, and defending champions IHC Esports from Mongolia.
