September 2, 2025
Paper Rex (PRX) has once again cemented its dominance in the VALORANT Esports scene for the Pacific region by winning the VCT Pacific Stage 2. Paper Rex clinched the championship title after defeating fellow Indonesian team, Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), with a final score of 3-1 in the Grand Final.
The Grand Final match, which took place on August 31, 2025, was an intense battle. From the start, Paper Rex showed their sharpness by taking the first two maps, Bind (13-8) and Ascent (13-7). RRQ fought back on the third map with a convincing performance on Lotus (13-6), giving hope to their Indonesian fans. However, PRX returned with a solid performance on the fourth map, Haven (13-7), to secure the victory and lock in the final score of 3-1.
Paper Rex Dominated Throughout the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Tournament
Paper Rex maintained a consistent performance on both attack and defense, particularly on Bind and Ascent. Their coordination and strategy were executed flawlessly, putting RRQ under constant pressure throughout the match. Although RRQ put up a fierce fight and showed great resilience after their long journey from the lower bracket, PRX remained too strong in crucial moments.
This victory not only solidified Paper Rex’s position as the powerhouse of the Pacific region but also secured them a slot in VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris. Meanwhile, despite finishing as the runner-up, this achievement is one of the best for an Indonesian team on the international stage. With their impressive performance throughout the tournament, RRQ proved they are capable of competing with the world’s top teams. Rex Regum Qeon will also be joining Paper Rex at the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2025.
