Valve Brings Back the Compendium for The International 2025
August 20, 2025
Valve has finally announced the latest update for its biggest tournament, The International 2025, and fans are in for a nostalgic surprise: the Compendium is making a comeback. This decision was officially revealed on the Dota 2 website on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. As always, part of the revenue from Compendium-related purchases will contribute directly to the tournamentβs prize pool.
The International 2025 Compendium: Free for Everyone
Unlike previous years, the TI 2025 Compendium will be completely free, giving every player a chance to join in by participating in fantasy leagues and match predictions. The top 100 players with the most accurate predictions will earn the best rewards, while all participants can still collect Dota Plus Shards (300 shards for every 1,000 points earned).
Main Rewards β Compendium 2025:
-
Top 100 β 12 months of Dota Plus, 1 Arcana Token, 100% discount on the physical Aegis replica, and 5 Tyrian Regalia treasures.
-
Top 1,500 β 6 months of Dota Plus, 1 Arcana Token, 100% discount on the Aegis replica, and 2 Tyrian Regalia treasures.
-
Top 5% of players β 2 months of Dota Plus, 1 Arcana Token, 50% discount on the Aegis replica, and 1 Tyrian Regalia treasure.
-
Top 10% β 1 month of Dota Plus and 1 Arcana Token.
-
Top 15% β 1 month of Dota Plus.
New Treasure: Tyrian Regalia
Alongside the Compendium, Valve is also introducing the Tyrian Regalia Treasure, featuring five Immortal-tier cosmetic items for Shadow Shaman, Lion, Phantom Lancer, Queen of Pain, and Spirit Breaker. Players will be able to choose which treasure they want to open, but the items are non-tradable and non-marketable.
Crowdfunding Returns
Just like in past years, the prize pool for TI 2025 will be boosted through crowdfunding. Players can support the event by purchasing team or studio bundles via the Compendium. Revenue distribution is as follows: 30% goes to the TI prize pool, while 50% goes directly to the respective team or content creator. Interestingly, every participating team has released their bundleβexcept Gaimin Gladiators, who, for unknown reasons, have chosen not to.
Fans can also purchase a physical replica of the Aegis of Champions 2025 for $150 (without discounts). However, those who manage to perfectly predict every single match at TI14 will be able to claim it for free.
The return of the Compendium marks a big moment for the Dota 2 community, offering both nostalgic excitement and fresh rewards for fans worldwide. Whether youβre aiming for the exclusive Tyrian Regalia items, competing in fantasy leagues, or contributing to the ever-growing prize pool, TI 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting tournaments in Dota 2 history.
