Free Fire has just received its latest in-game update. The newest patch, themed Gloo Patch, officially launched on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. As the name suggests, this update introduces the Gloo Nova event, bringing plenty of Gloo-themed surprises—the iconic white gel—appearing in unexpected locations across the map. Gloo Nova Event Brings Major Changes

The Gloo Nova event introduces updates to both Battle Royale (BR) and Clash Squad (CS) modes. Players will encounter multiple areas covered in Gloo, which can be destroyed during combat just like regular Gloo Walls. This mechanic significantly changes the overall gameplay dynamic.

A limited-time event called “Gloo Gadgets” is also available, allowing players to choose one of four different Gloo Gadgets. Each gadget provides unique buffs in both BR and CS modes.

Here’s a breakdown of the four Gloo Gadgets:

• Wrecking Gadget: Increases damage to Gloo Walls by 50% and triggers an explosion dealing 30 damage after destroying a Gloo Wall.

• Lavish Gadget: Automatically grants EP, FF Coins, or random items when used. Players also have a chance to receive an active skill card or Horizaline.

• Scanner Gadget: Scans enemies within a 35-meter radius for 6 seconds and marks enemies within 10 meters for 2 seconds.

• Defender Gadget: Grants a Gloo Wall with an additional 250 HP when deployed. It also automatically deploys a 150 HP Gloo Wall toward incoming fire when the player is knocked down.

New Character Lila, the Gloo Specialist

The update also introduces a brand-new character, Lila the Gloo Specialist. Lila has the ability to slow enemy movement by up to 10% when hitting them with rifle shots. If the enemy is inside a vehicle, her shots reduce the vehicle’s speed by up to 50% for 3 seconds.

If an enemy is knocked during this effect, Lila’s ability freezes them for up to 3 seconds, and the player gains an additional Gloo Wall.

Weapon Adjustments in Gloo Patch

Beyond characters, several weapons have been rebalanced.

Buffed weapons include:

• AK47 (+Accuracy, +Armor Penetration, +Headshot Damage)

• Vector & Double Vector (+Reload Speed)

• Charge Buster (+Charge Speed, +Damage)

Nerfed weapons include:

• Woodpecker (-Damage)

• Trogon (-Magazine Capacity)

• XM8 (-Damage)
