Tencent Games, the entertainment giant from China, is once again showcasing its ambition to expand the Honor of Kings universe—this time through a brand-new anime adaptation titled Honor of Kings: Destiny. This marks a major leap for the legendary IP into the world of animation and further solidifies Tencent’s global footprint.

Since its launch in 2015, Honor of Kings (also known as Wangzhe Rongyao) has remained a dominant force in the mobile gaming market, especially in China. The game’s thrilling MOBA gameplay, uniquely designed heroes inspired by Chinese history and mythology, and top-tier visuals have earned it a massive following. Now, Tencent is ready to bring the epic tales of these heroes to the screen.

The upcoming anime, Honor of Kings: Destiny, will immerse viewers in a world of grand adventures, epic conflicts, and intense battles—experiences once limited to the game. The series is set to premiere globally on Crunchyroll in May 2025.

Honor of Kings: Destiny — The Heroic Journey of Kaizer

The story centers around Kaizer, a young noble from the Navenia family whose life is turned upside down by a mysterious curse. In a desperate bid to save his younger sister from the curse’s effects, Kaizer chooses to take it upon himself—sacrificing everything in the process. His decision leads him into a life of solitude, eventually placing him at the Great Wall, humanity’s last line of defense against threats from another world.

Due to the curse that now resides within him, Kaizer has lost most of his memories. But as one of the strongest guardians of the Great Wall, armed with a cursed demon blade and dark powers fused into his soul, Kaizer stands ready to face whatever comes. The anime promises deep emotional storytelling, intense action scenes, and powerful character development.
