Another football club has entered the esports scene. This time, Spanish giants FC Barcelona have officially announced the creation of their Barça eSports VALORANT team. The announcement was made through the Barca eSports X (Twitter) account on Thursday, December 22, 2023.

The newly formed Barça eSports team will compete in the Spanish VALORANT league, better known as VALORANT Challengers 2024 Spain. This competition is the largest VALORANT league in Spain and is part of the EMEA sub-region (Europe, Middle East, and North Africa).

VALORANT Challengers 2024 Spain is scheduled to take place online from January to April 2024. The tournament will feature eight of the best VALORANT teams in Spain. The winner will go on to represent Spain in the VALORANT Challengers Ascension EMEA.
