Now, in the grand finals of VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024, Paper Rex successfully defeated Gen.G Esports with a final score of 3–2.

The match, which took place on Sunday, May 12, 2024, was highly intense, with both teams trading wins throughout the series. All five games in the grand finals were fiercely contested, with both teams showcasing their full potential. Gen.G Esports managed to win the first game on Lotus with a score of 13–9.

However, Paper Rex, who started slowly, managed to bounce back in the next two games. In the second game on Sunset, Paper Rex secured a 13–9 victory. Then in the third game on Icebox, Paper Rex won again with a score of 13–11, giving them a 2–1 lead in the series.

Unfortunately for Paper Rex, Gen.G Esports kept their hopes alive by winning the fourth game on Bind with a score of 13–9. In the decisive fifth game on Split, Paper Rex emerged victorious with a score of 13–8, ultimately closing out the series 3–2.

With this victory, Paper Rex has established themselves as the best VALORANT team in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, they have secured a spot in the upcoming international VALORANT tournament, VCT Masters Shanghai 2024. Forsaken and his teammates will compete against the best VALORANT teams from around the world. VCT Masters Shanghai 2024 will take place in China from May 23 to June 9, 2024.

VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024 itself was held in South Korea from April 6 to May 12, 2024. The tournament featured 11 participating teams and offered Pacific Points as well as 3 slots for VCT Masters Shanghai 2024.
