Finishing in third place was Tundra Esports from Western Europe. Tundra’s tournament run came to an end after a defeat against Gaimin Gladiators in the Lower Bracket Final.

Despite the loss, the result represented a historic achievement for Indonesian Dota 2. Tundra support player Matthew ‘Whitemon’ Filemon became the first Indonesian player to secure a top-three finish at The International, setting a new milestone for the country’s esports scene.
