Nova Esports Crowned Champions of HOK Invitational 2025 Season 3
March 3, 2025
The world-class Honor of Kings tournament, HOK Invitational 2025 Season 3, officially concluded in early 2025. Nova Esports, an esports team from Malaysia, emerged as the champions after defeating Nongshim RedForce from South Korea with a thrilling 4-3 victory in the grand finals held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at SM City North Edsa, Manila.
A Thrilling Grand Final: Nova Esports vs. Nongshim RedForce
The final showdown was an intense battle that had to be decided through Ultimate Battle, a tiebreaker format that significantly raised the stakes of the competition. This format prevented teams from using heroes they had previously picked in earlier matches, forcing them to strategically select their final lineup in the battle for the HOK Invitational 2025 Season 3 championship.
Nova Esports Triumphs with a 4-3 Victory
Nongshim RedForce started strong by securing the first game, taking an early lead. However, Nova Esports quickly responded by winning Game 2 and Game 3, shifting the score to 2-1 in their favor. Nongshim RedForce then regained momentum, winning Game 4 and Game 5, putting themselves ahead at 3-2. In the final two games, Nova Esports showcased their resilience and top-tier gameplay, securing consecutive victories to claim the championship with a final score of 4-3.
Nova Esportsβ Road to Glory
Nova Esports faced a challenging path to the title. In the semifinals, they battled against Team Vitality and advanced to the grand final after another Ultimate Battle showdown. On the other hand, Nongshim RedForce demonstrated their fighting spirit by making a dramatic comeback from a 0-3 deficit against Blacklist International in the semifinals, ultimately securing a spot in the final through Ultimate Battle.
Indonesiaβs Performance in HOK Invitational 2025
Unfortunately, Indonesiaβs two representatives faced tough challenges in the tournament. Kagendra struggled in the group stage and failed to qualify for the playoffs, finishing at the bottom of Group C. Meanwhile, Bigetron Sigma reached the quarterfinals but was eliminated by Team Vitality with a 4-1 loss.
Malaysiaβs Continued Dominance in Honor of Kings Esports
Nova Esports’ victory further solidifies Malaysiaβs dominance in the Honor of Kings esports scene. This triumph follows previous successes, where LGD Gaming MY claimed the Invitational Season 2 title in July 2024, and Black Shrew Esports secured victory at the Honor of Kings Championship in October 2024. With this latest achievement, Nova Esports reinforces Malaysiaβs reputation as a powerhouse in global Honor of Kings esports.
