The regular season of MPL ID Season 17 has officially come to an end, and ONIC Esports once again proved its dominance in the Indonesian Mobile Legends competitive scene. The team known as “The King of the Sky” successfully finished as the regular season champion after delivering a consistent performance throughout the season with 13 wins and only 3 losses. This result also secures ONIC as the top seed heading into the MPL ID S17 playoffs.

ONIC’s performance this season was truly impressive. Kairi and his teammates managed to maintain their consistency from the opening week until the end of the competition. They even locked the top spot in the standings earlier after securing an important victory against Dewa United during the eighth week of the regular season.

Besides ONIC, Team Liquid ID also showed solid performances and successfully finished in second place with 10 match points. Meanwhile, Dewa United and Bigetron by Vitality both collected 9 points, but Dewa secured the higher spot thanks to a better game difference. EVOS and Geek Fam became the final two teams to secure playoff tickets.

Alter Ego, NAVI, and RRQ Hoshi Fail to Reach the Playoffs

The race for the MPL ID S17 playoffs remained extremely tight until the final week. However, in the end, Alter Ego Esports, NAVI, and RRQ Hoshi had to accept the bitter reality of failing to advance to the playoff stage.

Alter Ego actually remained in contention in the middle of the standings and still had a chance to qualify until the last week. Unfortunately, inconsistent results forced them to finish in seventh place with a record of 7 wins and 9 losses.
