Honor of Kings Introduces New Hero and Honor Royale Mode in Latest Update
September 25, 2026
Honor of Kings has once again introduced a major update with its latest patch, which became available on September 23, 2026. Entering Season 16, titled Flow As One, the update brings a variety of new content designed to offer players a different gameplay experience.
In addition to introducing a new hero, the latest update completes all five Flowborn classes and introduces a new game mode called Honor Royale Beta. This mode features a 2v2v2v2 battle that lasts only around three minutes, offering a gameplay format that is significantly different from the traditional 5v5 MOBA match.
New Hero Wang Wei and Five Flowborn Classes

One of the main highlights of the latest Honor of Kings update is the arrival of Wang Wei, a new hero assigned to the Mid Lane role. Wang Wei will be available starting October 8, 2026, and can be obtained for 13,888 Gold or 588 Vouchers. During his first week of availability, players can purchase him using Vouchers at a 50 percent discount.
In addition to Wang Wei, the Season 16 update completes the Flowborn system with two new classes: Flowborn Assassin and Flowborn Roamer. Both classes are available for free starting September 23, 2026. This update makes all five Flowborn classes available in the game.
Players will also gain access to Flow State, a new Summoner Skill with a 100-second cooldown. The skill can reduce the cooldown of all hero skills by half while also summoning a Flowborn weapon based on the player’s selected role.
Honor of Kings Honor Royale Introduces 2v2v2v2 Battles

The most unique addition in the latest update is Honor Royale Beta. This new mode changes the traditional Honor of Kings formula into a battle royale-style experience featuring a 2v2v2v2 format.
Four teams, each consisting of two players, will battle against one another in an arena. Each team starts from a different corner of the map and must survive until they become the last team standing. Matches last around three minutes, while the Safe Zone gradually shrinks toward the center of the arena. Players who remain outside the Safe Zone will lose Health.
Honor Royale also introduces a Rune system. Players can defeat monsters or open chests to obtain Runes, which directly increase their character’s stats while restoring Health and Energy. The elimination system in this mode also differs from regular matches. When a player is defeated, they drop two Runes and can respawn near their teammate after 10 seconds. A team is only fully eliminated when both of its players have been defeated.
At the 90-second mark, Caesar will appear in the center of the arena. The team that successfully defeats Caesar will receive a Shield as well as a lightning effect on their basic attacks. In addition, various random events can occur throughout the match, giving each round different gameplay conditions.
With the introduction of Honor Royale, Honor of Kings now offers an alternative for players who want to enjoy shorter battles without having to play a traditional 5v5 MOBA match that can take significantly longer. The Season 16 update also adds the Path to Honor and Weekly Hero Challenge systems, providing additional progression and challenges for ranked players.
