EVOS Esports has once again secured an international championship trophy in the world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports. Most recently, EVOS Icon successfully won the World Cyber Games 2023 (WCG 2023). WCG itself is one of the oldest esports competitions, and in 2023 it was held in Busan, South Korea, from June 3 to July 30, 2023.

A total of 13 teams from four Asian countries — Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Mongolia — participated in the WCG 2023 Mobile Legends tournament. Indonesia was represented by five teams: EVOS Icon, ONIC Prodigy, ONIC Overlord, Dewa United Esports, and Bee Insting.

EVOS Icon delivered an impressive performance during the group stage by eliminating CS Anaka from the Philippines and Pro Esports from Cambodia. Then, in the playoff stage, EVOS Icon defeated fellow Indonesian representative ONIC Overlords before eventually facing the Philippine team ECHO Proud. Although EVOS Icon had previously lost to ECHO Proud, they managed to take their revenge in the Grand Finals. EVOS Icon successfully defeated ECHO Proud with a final score of 3-2.

With this victory, EVOS Icon officially became the champions of the WCG 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament. In addition, they earned a prize of US$20,000, or approximately IDR 300 million. This WCG 2023 trophy marks another major Mobile Legends title for EVOS Esports after previously winning the IESF World Esports Championship 2022 in Bali at the end of 2022. This achievement also serves as strong momentum for EVOS Icon as they continue their journey in MDL ID Season 8.

Besides Mobile Legends, several other games were also featured at WCG 2023 in South Korea, including Genshin Impact, Clash Royale, StarCraft II, Warcraft III, and Hearthstone.
