The Thai team emerged as the champion of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2025, defeating 11 of the world’s strongest Free Fire teams in an intense seven-round showdown.

Buriram showed remarkable consistency throughout the tournament. With the lineup of BRU.GetHigh, BRU.Wassana, BRU.Joena, BRU.Moshi, and BRU.TheCruz, they played not only aggressively but also highly disciplined in rotation and zone control. Because of this, Buriram United Esports stayed at the top of the leaderboard from the early rounds.

The “Champion Rush” mechanism became the key to their victory. In this system, a team must first accumulate at least 80 points. Once they reach Champion Rush Eligible status, they can claim the championship immediately by securing a Booyah in the next game. Buriram United Esports reached more than 80 points as early as Round 5.

They needed only two more rounds to secure a Booyah and lock in the title. In the seventh game, Buriram United Esports claimed the Booyah with 9 kills. With a final total of 103 points, they topped all competing teams. Fluxo followed closely in second place with 102 points, while All Gamers Global secured third place with 90 points.

One of the brightest stars from Buriram was Mariwat “Wassana” Panyawai. He recorded 22 eliminations and 13 assists in the Grand Finals—an outstanding performance that earned him two major awards:

• Final Most Valuable Player (FMVP)

• Predator Award (for players with exceptional elimination/aggressive contributions)

Team captain Chirasak “Joena” Moonsarn stated that this victory was dedicated to Wassana, as despite competing in the Free Fire scene since 2023, this was his first world championship title. Meanwhile, CEO of Buriram United Esports, Chotchanok Chidchob, described this achievement as the result of the team’s collective hard work and motivation to continue improving and maintaining their top form.
